Britain proved beyond doubt that it would of survived as a nation against the Germans, it did it for over a year at home without any american help, it might not of won the war on its own but would of kept Britain free throughout. Battle of Britain, River plate, Blitz and Dunkirk spirit in Britain proved that decisively.
