  • Play nice, folks, please.

  • Nice song. The real title of it is "I'll go steppin' too" It's a great Flatt & Scruggs classical

  • Thanks for the title correction. I have added it.

  • Too what?.........I'll go steppin to, not too.

Used to play in a band with Jeremy the fiddle player.

  • Man, I'm batting 1000. Thanks for another correction!

  • I can't pass this up. Obviously attempting to explain proper English to Granada90 is likely fighting an unarmed man...there's just no use.

  • I'll go steppin Too is the title, I'm right too!

  • It's "too" because that's right! did anybody take english in school? lol

  • @Granada90 The title is "I'll go stepping too.". Too what? Too as in also. Listen to the lyrics. What the song is saying is "While you're (stepping) out having fun (cheating) I'll be stepping (out) too (also).". It's a reference to the days when going out on the town without your significant other was called "stepping out".

  • American Heritage Dictionary: Too, "in addition; also : is he coming too?

    • moreover (used when adding a further point) : she is a grown woman, and a strong one too.

"I'll Go Steppin' TOO" is correct.

Love the song! Heard Lowell Varney do it years ago and was awesome!

  • Flatt and Scruggs did call it "too" but it's only an eye catcher, much like Sally Goodwin, it just sounded cool. The word "too" does not mean also. Sorry for not explaining this more in the email I sent you, JHelmet.

I raised the same question to a 78 yr old friend who used to hang around Flatt & Scruggs......who knows why they spelled it that way! lolololol

  • No, the title of this song is "I'll Go Steppin' TOO". Which of course, makes sense, because the "too" is used in a sense of I'll Go Steppin' ALSO. Sorry steveide59, but "I'll Go Steppin' TOO" is the real title FOR SURE ha
