Not really Tretiak's greatest game. Letting in 4 goals when facing only 16 shots. What?!!! I think after 2 periods he had made something like 5 saves. Luckily he got his act together in the 3rd. The Soviets really deserved this win; that's what the commentators, Scotty Bowman and Bobby Clarke all said (well, sort of).

& btw, the NHL used Boris Salming, as well as Hedberg & Nielson,..I forgot.

Salming was one of the best in the world at that time, & the other 2 were not bad either.

The Russians @ that time were light years ahead till the 90's & then the others began to watch their warm ups & drills & now they are much closer 2 these great Russians gents.

The best game by both teams was Game 2 in my opinion. Game 1 was sloppy by CCCP. Game 3 was the crappiest by NHL. Game 2 had the best quality of both teams.

@sergeontheloose YES I REMEBER 1987 CANADA CUP,SUCH A GREAT SERRIES BY BOTH TEAM,KLM AND YOUNG VALERY KAMENSKY WERE ON FIRE.YES CANADA WON MORE CANDADA CUP BUT ALL OF THEM WAS CLOSE AND BEING PLAYED IN CANADA HOME.FROM 1972-UNTILL 1991 USSR NATIONAL TEAM AND CLUB HAD 58 WINS AND ONLY 40 LOSES AGAINSTR BEST CANADIAN AND NHL TEAM
