Nicholas a former Hamilton Lodge student and now a member of care staff visited Ethiopia this year. He visited 2 deaf schools Nkemete, which HL has had links with for over 15 years and has raised over £3000 for, and Viktory. Whilst he was there he worked with students and staff including sharing his tennis skills, he has represented Britain as part of its Deaf Tennis Team, and meeting Jenny Merritt who teaches there and was a former teacher at Hamilton Lodge.
Hi Nicholas, I am so sorry I didn't get to meet you while you were in Ethiopia. My husband and I started a deaf primary and high school in Addis Ababa. It would have been great if you had been able to visit us too! I hope I hear from you sometime. I am in the states right now but plan to return to Ethiopia in the spring. Rebekah, paynenrs@yahoo.com

I was so blessed to see your video! I also went to VICKtory for 2 months in 2010 to teach during their summer break. I cried as I watched your video. It is so wonderful to know that someone else in this world loves and knows my kids. I am praying about going back in 2012 with a ministry team, to help with their building project. How lonf were you there for and what did you think? Also, where are you from in England? I studied in England for a semester and foud it hard to find deaf there.
