Former President Bill Clinton offers an emotional plea to the world on behalf of Haiti. In addition to safe, sanitary shelter and schools, Clinton insists that "we need cash more than anything else, because we got enough cooks in the kitchen and not enough coordination and distribution."

-----

In a special session of the 40th World Economic Forum Annual Meeting, William J. Clinton, Founder, William J. Clinton Foundation; President of the United States (1993-2001); and UN Special Envoy to Haiti make a robust call for immediate aid and sustained investment to assist Haiti as it struggles to build a new and prosperous nation out of the rubble of the devastating earthquake of 12 January.

In partnership with the Clinton Global Initiative and the United Nations, the World Economic Forum will work to increase private sector involvement in Haiti for the long term. "We are reminded of the common humanity which we all share," said Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman, World Economic Forum.

William Jefferson "Bill" Clinton (born William Jefferson Blythe III on August 19, 1946) was the 42nd President of the United States, serving from 1993 to 2001. Clinton served five terms as the Governor of Arkansas. His wife, Hillary Rodham Clinton, is currently the junior U.S. Senator from New York.

  • What Haiti needs is medical aid and rescue, not another occupation by American marines. Fuck off, Clinton, Bush, Obama, etc.

  • So why the low rating? Is it an objection to Clinton's military and economic intervention/imperialism during his presidency and the recognition that his present spokesrole smacks of hypocrisy? Or are people just angry at the idea of helping poor foreign black people?

  • Look Billy Boy we know you didn't have sex with that woman while smoking a BONG.here Easter Bunny ha ha ha>..what is wrong """is you should have"""....One look at Hillary I would have had hookers lined up, Bottle in one hand, and Dooby in the other!

  • Haiti is already in deep trouble even before the earthquake happened. All they know is fuck and feed, fuck and feed, and give birth to thousand more babies who later become fuckers and feeders themselves. They are low on food, low on jobs, low on resources, but still they rather fuck, pop babies, and sprout a whole new generation of fuckers. They must have forgot that they are humans not cockroaches, and humans don't necessarily have to reproduce like insects to survive.

  • Mrs.Hillary Clinton was right when she said the ghods corps of Iran is behind the election. The fight between Ahmad chalabi and farag Heidari showed us this dirty plot.

How do you expect us to vote in the Iranian election boxes which bring us in Iraq only explosions and blood?

boycotting the election is the right of Iraqi patriots.

we want Mr. Saleh Almutlaq back to the election list

  • I concur, its really an absurd atrocity of the central banks and fractional reserve banking. The IMF and World banks are truly evil and disparaging in their convoluted distortions of helping third world countries. They destroy the sovereignty of peoples and nations. They steal their natural resources and bury them in unfathomable debt. I would like to believe Clinton really cares but know I can not trust the Bilderberg and Rothschilds puppets. This is the real world banking agenda, deplorable.

  • @Grifter, data wasnt in Biloxi, I was and yes I have the right to tell people it was pretty rough but nothing in comparison, its just a chapter in my life and as an American citizen I know I do not fully understand the plight of the truly impoverished in the world. I know we have it easy here in the USA. Our "poor" are better off than 80% of the worlds population. I agree completely with you that our government helped supress the people of Haiti and now we want to be hero's. Its disgusting,

  • We should have helped Haiti by not overthrowing their democratically elected governments, supporting death squads, forcing neoliberal economic policies on them that sent them into the most extreme poverty in the Western hemisphere.

We've been continuously torturing them since Columbus.

  • @RenegadeTimes Ha, ha, ha...Well said Brother!!!...some people REALLY choose to be blind...and stupid!!!

  • @datachip Actually many of us with our brains engaged are still trying to figure out where billions of dollars went in TARP money.

Your data in your "chip" needs to be reactivated.
