can you please tell me how to trained your dog to do that?! by the way does anyones cocker have really long lashes? mine does!!! is that normal

Yes the lashes just keep growing, the groomers usually trim it when they do grooming. I started to teach him tricks when he was about 11 wk old, I just give command, use hand to help him do the action, and then give a treat as reward. Actually it is not recommended to hand on the dog to "force" them do the action by some professional trainers... I think it is hard to push the dog to roll over when the dog grows big. so you do your research and decide what works for you :)

how do you teach to roll over?? thanks.

I taught that when he was very young, and very small, so I just give command and push him to roll over. It might not be good if the dog is big. There are videos on youtube showing how to teach a dog roll over, just search it :)

By the breed standard, cocker spaniel is very people oriented, playful, and willing to please. I believe that people usually think cockers are hyper or stubborn is because of the over breeding during the 1990s. Because cockers were so popular at that time that many cockers were bred in puppy mill or by inter-breeding for profit. And also, these cockers were usually bred mainly for good appearance, with ignoring good temperament, health, and intelligence. It is really sad.
