A video of my new hedgehog room and where I keep my supplies. I apologize for the length of this video. It might be a little boring, but I didn't want to spend a lot of time editing. Hopefully you will enjoy seeing how my hedgehogs are taken care of.

  • @PortoGF I think you misheard me, too. 78-82 is my range and it generally stays at 80. They seem to be much more friendly and active at 80 degrees.

  • @PortoGF That is awesome that you are able to provide a 6'x2' living space for each of your hedgehogs. Minimum size requirements from the USDA are 1'x2' which is way too small in my opinion. My cages are 20" x 30" and yes I do have Flying Saucer Wheels in 75% of the cages and all of my avid runners have a wheel 24/7. I should have taken a video in the evening when the wheels were back in the cages (and the hedgehogs were active). I find I need to soak them during the day to keep them clean.

  • @jollybaby18 Yes, I'm a licensed breeder. I have two young girls and they love the hedgehogs almost as much as I do, but they are a little young to play with them much. They love watching them and holding them on their laps. They like to help out with feeding and cleaning, too. :)

  • how and what do u use to make the cages?!

  • @lilnedd I added a video on how I make the cages.

  • @MSHorselover8 Me, too! I have an incubator all ready just in case. :)

  • A range of 70-82 is WAY to much. The temperature should never drop more than a degree. The ONLY time a hedgehog should not have a wheel is when the litter is about to be born until they are weaned.

  • You are terrible. Hedgehogs need to have a wheel 24/7. They also need to have a cage that is AT LEAST 2 square feet AFTER the igloo, bowls, toys and WHEEL are in the cage. Ugh this makes me sick. I own 9 hedgehogs, each has a cage that is 6'x2 and has 20 square feet.

  • My gosh you love hedgehogs o.o

Are you a breeder? :D Your love for them is amazing ^.^

Do your kids play with them? :)

  • Your daughter is so sweet and careful and gentle around your hedgies!

  • sorry about saying the wheel thing. i posted it before u said they have wheels sometimes

  • shouldnt the hedgehogs have wheels?
