Little House: May We Make Them Proud - Running Up That Hill

This video is about the tragic Little House on the Prairie episode "May We Make Them Proud" from the season six. The events in this episode are so sad and heartbreaking and the accidental fire in the blind school leaves everybody with a deep pain and shock when loved family members are lost - baby Adam and Alice Garvey. This episode brought the song "Running Up That Hill" by Placebo to my mind and that is how this video got started. I LOVE Little House on the Prairie and its characters and "May We Make Them Proud" has definitely been one of the most tearful episodes for me to watch.

Thanks for this. I have always loved LHOP and now my daughter who is 11 enjoys it. We missed it yesterday and todays episode was the conclusion to the Blind School Fire episode so I wanted to find something to show my daughter what happened so she would understand the conclusion and this was perfect. Great job with the editing and the song is great (reminds me of the OC lol) Thanks again!

The worst part of the episode wasn't on here. It was the scene where Garvey unwrapped his wife's body.His reaction was a combination of grief and horror, and the implication was that the body was a charred skeleton.

stupid mistake takes away two people he loves, and add that to all the other crap he's dealt with in his short lifetime.. well, your heart can't help but break for him. and seeing adam trying to crawl back in to save his son, and then later trying to calm mary down while her crazed mind takes over. shiveerrs.

This was a heartbreaking, yet strikingly well-acted, episode. I just watched it and had to revisit it. It made me cry real tears more than any other episode of LHOP. Seeing Alice Garvey break through that window with baby Adam Jr. is one image I'll never forget, along with Mary yelling "my baby! my baby! my baby!" at albert when he played the music box for her and was saying "I'm sorry! I didn't mean it! It was an accident!!" .. oh man. I cried so hard. after all that kid went through, one

What a completely stupid and pointless episode. Of course in reality this never happened since the real Mary Ingalls never married and died a blind spinster under the care of her younger sister Carrie.
