It's Chemistry, by Spencer Funk

Thsi song is called "It's Chemistry" Ricky and I did this for a chemistry project. If you actually want to know the lyrics they are as follows.

Intro: Somewhere in the depths of a place called North Medford High School
There is a suject called Chemistry and it is really cool

Chorus: It's chemistry, it's chemistry, it's chemistry

Verse 1: We organize everything in the periodic table
It helps us understand this world as best as we are able
If you read across the rows it tells about the mass
If organize by families it tells us how things act
The second period in the chart is really kind of special
In the special column there are the Alkaline earth metals
at the top there is Beryllium its symbol is Be
in the next verse I will tell you just how usefull it can be

Verse 2: Strontium: white soft and silvery
But if its left outside it'll start to look like pee
Its not a fun metal just to be around
But thanks to chemistry it is safely in the ground
Its an Alkaline Metal, means it highly reactive chemically
So that simply means it reacts violently
It is used in old glass T.V's
That is just how usefull strontium can be

Verse 3: When berylium is in its isotope Be 10
it begins to go through half lives and again and again
it stays in the soil after coming from the air
it helps scientists to learn about what might have once been there
When its Be 9 its used for differnt things
like material in spaceship metal on the spaceship wings
its also used in parts of radiation tests
because it lets some radiation through but not all of the rest

Verse 4: Calcium is silvery like many elements
Its metalic and its found in milk and the bones of elephant's
Its not very toxic when its in its pure state
But when its mixed with water it it isn't very great
Its proven to keep cancer and other sickness away
So drink your milk kiddies in the night and the day
Its very abundant in the earths crust
So having calcium is a definate must

Verse 5: Magnesium is awesome because it burns so bright
it used to be the flash in the old old camera lights
its also one of the things that makes plants turn green
I bet you never knew that. It tends to go unseen
There also magnesium in this very room
because its in your cell phones and your iPods™ and your Zunes™
it used to be in racecar wheels for the Porche and the Mercedes
sometimes I get out magnesium to impress the ladies

The Aklaline earth metals have a lot of things in common
Beside the plain old fact that all of them are bombin'
Every single one is soft and silvery
They are used in spaceships, cars and T.V's
Aside from all of that they have reactivty
So if they're dropped in water just be careful where you be
They make salt when they react with halogens
Sir Humphry Davy discovered their origins
