Excellent Job Guys, I really enjoyed

@tcarr22239 translated via google translate : "Really what a beautiful tool rail. I mademany trips with this instrument and yet never felt satisfied with the variety of trips. Increasingly looking and increasingly seek to use it. I will continue as I can."

@TheDeputation Don't know how the Swede loco will go over but I hope the can raise enough money to get either 1702 or 722 up and running. They both are real pieces of history especially 722 and deserve to be on the rails for future generations to enjoy. Ever since GSMR quit with steam I have gone to the TVRM in Chattanooga. Now they have a great steam program.

go to the GSRMs website and look at their news updates

EVERYONE RELAX look i pulled this from a news update from the GSMR this is part of the bulletin that the sweedish loco will be goen there "There is also an ongoing effort to revive additional steam locomotives owned by the GSMR through a partnership program with a newly formed nonprofit group who will assist in fundraising efforts for the restoration and continued operation of Steam Locomotives #722 and #1702" dont believe me?
-
they have a steam eninge from main wich should star work soon steam back in bisness
-
If you, like I, really want to see 722 operating again, then I encourage you to donate to the foundation. All donations are tax deducable as it is a non-profit organization. The sooner everyone gets started, we can work tpgeather and help raise the funds to see both 722 AND 1702 operating again. The new Swedish steam engine will not be leased by the society.
-
@SouthernCresent722 GSMR does not plans to restore 722. If it was a matter of putting the engine togeather again, they would have done so years ago when they first aquired her. There ARE plans for the engines though. The WJ Sawyer foundation will be leasing both locomotives from the line and restoring them for operation on the GSMR. You can look at their website for cost estimates for both. The 722 requires much more work, totaling to nearly $1 Million required to have her operating again.

Cool train & nice.

I am guessing that diesel is their high-nose GP35 from N&W. Why is it on the end? Also, where did they get their chop-nosed GP9's?

No wye or turntable to turn the steam engine around, Steam out to end of line, diesel on the return trip back. Plus the diesel helps push on some of steeper grades.
