Charleston - Cottas Club Jazz Band - LIVE 2008 - Dixieland

The "Cottas Club Jazz Band" has its origins in 2003 and comes from Bombarral -- Oeste - Portugal. Playing Dixieland music from the origins, the repertoire is dated form the 1920's but with a sound and style based on the Armstrong recorded tunes of the 1950's.

Playing for fun, the group recently had acquired a sousaphone in order to strength their visual e sound links to New Orleans, the birth of traditional Dixieland Jazz style. Besides the word "cotas" in Portuguese, means "old style", for this groups "fun & happiness" are the best words to remember them. You can find more about them in www.cottasclub.com
