Never Grow Up 101;

"Excuse me, miss, this is a private recording studio," the hefty security guard informed me. "There's no way you're going in."

"Oh, sorry. You don't understand. I'm Selena Jonas, Nick's wife," I replied, pushing my RayBans up into my hair so he could see my face properly and hopefully identify me. Wearing them was just for a disguise anyways, considering it was a pretty miserable day in Los Angeles.

"I think you don't understand. I can't let you in."

"Oh come on," I rolled my eyes. "You seriously don't know who I am?" I questioned, wondering how he could work so closely with both Nick and Miley and not have heard of me.

"I didn't say that. I just said I'm under strict orders not to allow anyone past me. Got it?"

My phone beeped as I sighed in frustration. "That's a message from Nick," I mumbled bitterly. "You still don't believe me?" I asked, taking out my phone and flashing the screen towards him.

He sighed, and I fought off a smile knowing he was about to be pushed over the fence. "Well..." He slowly moved out of the way, letting me pass him.

"If anyone asks, it wasn't me," he called out after me. "Yeah," I shouted back as I ran inside slowly enough that I didn't spill the coffees, yet quickly enough that I didn't feel like I was moving at turtle pace. I could hear the sound of music creeping out a door at the end of the hallway and I headed towards that assuming they would be in there.

I opened the door, smiling as I spotted Miley inside the recording booth singing her heart out and Nick sitting outside playing around with the sound board. I set the coffee down on a little table inside the door and waited. It was obvious that both of them were completely focused on the music and I didn't want to interrupt. Miley hadn't noticed my entrance but Nick eventually glanced over his shoulder and realized it was me. His lips broke out into a smile as hopped up off the seat and wrapped his arm around me.

"What are you doing here?" he whispered in my ear before letting go and lacing his fingers between mine. He gently leaded me back to where he was once sitting and I noticed Miley was still singing her song.

"Bringing you coffee since I figured you're not coming home tonight either," I replied while he sat down and used my hips to guide me onto his lap considering there was only one seat in the room. He flicked a couple of switches on the sound board without replying to my slightly harsh words. Hey, you'd be bitchy too if you had waited up until 3 am wondering if your husband was coming home any time soon. Oh, and if you were pregnant. My eyes wandered over to Miley again meanwhile his settled on me.

"Whooo!" I cheered, giving Miley a thumbs up sign when she finally looked out the little window having finished her song.

"Selena?" I made out what she was saying by reading her lips and laughed as she bounced up removing all the equipment from herself before making her way out of the recording booth.

"What are you doing here?" she squeaked, hugging me tightly.

"Listening to you guys make some awesome music," I grinned, before pointing towards the coffee which Nick had started drinking since I moved away from him. "I brought you some fuel."

"Ahhh, thank you! It's going to be a long night," she said, half-excited and half-exhausted.

"Yeah, I figured," I mumbled as something beeped on the laptop just beside Nick. Miley went to check what it was while I sunk back onto Nick's lap.

"Are you sure I'm not too heavy?" I mumured, turning my head so I could lock my eyes with his as Miley clicked away on the laptop.

I shook his head slightly before pressing his lips to mine for a short second. I heard Miley giggle quietly when my lips parted from him and I diverted my eyes over to her to find a picture on the screen of her sticking her tongue out and pointing towards Nick and I. She had managed to capture that brief moment when our lips were touching and I couldn't help but laugh at it.
