Marilyn is upset at NBC for pulling the plug on one of her favorite You-tubers and I hear she is going to be mounting a campaign to try to convince NBC to allow Ross The intern to go back to posting on YouTube.
Days before Ross Mathews (Ross The Intern) on NBC's The Tonight show was to celebrate his birthday with all his Youtube fans... NBC yanked him from Youtube.
Although his site is still up at...the web address listed below...NBC no longer allows him to post his daily video blog on the Youtube site.
http://www.youtube.com/user/rossthein...
NBC told Ross that they had just discovered that he was posting over at Youtube and that they only wanted him to post on NBC's social networking site...MyNBC.com...
Yeh...right...they just found out...sure... That is very hard to believe. It sounds more like they probably used Ross, Youtube and us, the fans to build a solid web community around Ross so that when it got to a large enough mass NBC could then export Ross' Youtube community over to NBC.
"Yeh...Why don't we just let Ross keep up building a solid web community over there at Youtube ...then we yank the plug and force all of Ross' fans to come over to www.MyNBC.com to sign up for our website so that we can make all the future advertising dollar revenue.
We let Ross, his fans and Youtube do all the work then we swoop in and highjack large numbers of eyeballs over to our NBC site. What a simple way to steal a large web audience from Youtube and we don't have to do all the ground work to create the community...we just swipe it...After all we are paying Ross a salary to blog and we don't have to fill him in with our plan. Besides he's too nice and truthful. He would never go for this plan if we told him up front. He wouldn't understand that business has to be cutthroat. what he doesn't know won't hurt him...at least not yet."
Well it hurts now. We could see that Ross' feelings were hurt when he had to try to explain to his fans who trust him why he could no longer post videos on youtube.
And NBC hurt us, Ross' Youtube fans. Many of us do not want to be signing up for a whole new social networking site hosted by NBC's parent company General Electric. And we don't like General Electric and NBC coming in and destroying our happy and loving community. That wasn't very nice nor ethical of you, NBC.
Very sneaky NBC...but That wasn't nice to do that to Ross and stick him in the middle of your manipulative plan.
Ross is a sweet trusting person and you should treat him with respect and be transparent with your plans with him upfront..instead you chose to use Ross, Youtube and Ross's Youtube web community to build up your own bank account.
NBC...shame on you.
Any one want to help her try to get Ross The Intern back on Youtube leave her friend, Sharon A. Fox a message. This is a serious and dangerous mission...but somebody's got to lead it. Ross is in jeopardy...and I'm not talking about the Merv Griffin game show.
In the meantime we all wish Ross The Intern a Happy and Wonderful Birthday!

Don't worry Nick I have another video coming with the balloons, chocolate birthday cake and my expose on NBC yanking the plug on Ross The Intern's Youtube video posting.
It was awesome meeting you at Safeway...thank you so much for the balloons...they worked out real well. I'm very impressed with your idea to mount a campaign at the college to get rid of the junky chemicals in the food.
Keep up the great work!

Thank you...we are all so sad that NBC has refused to allow Ross The Intern (Ross Mathews) to post his videos on youtube.
NBC said that they didn't know Ross was posting his videos on Youtube...but I don't believe them. I think NBC knew exactly what they were doing.
