After Ramadam, Muharram is the holiest month of the Muslim calendar.
Fighting is prohibited and people wear black to mourn the death of Imam Hussein bin Ali حسين بن علي بن أﺑﻲ طالب‎ .
Imam Hussein was brutally murdered in Karbala, Iraq, 1,300 years ago.
It was filmed in a congregational hall known as a Hussainia, in the city of Yazd, which is the oldest continuously inhabited city on earth (7000 years old).
The ceremony lasted three hours.

@3MegaMusiclover3 don't get ur nickers twisted. Hezollah are not Al Qaida. Hezbollah represent Islam as they provide protection for all muslims, christians and others living in lebnon. al qaida make life impossible for everyone and just want to kill and destroy people. btw Hezbollah are shias and al-qaida sunni group. am i right???? . but moving on i rather be united, i was just trying to comment, i don't hate sunnis as they are my brothers in faith.

We believe in the Holy Quran as our holy book. We believe Imam Ali (as) is the rightful successor of the prophet. Shias are the real ahlul sunna.
