@classicallyliberal it is illegal to fit them to reflector headlight units in the UK now for that very reason. People are also driving with invalid insurance so risk a hefty fine and confiscation of the car. Idiots of boy racers fitting them fail to understand the reflectors are designed for a regular shape 55w bulb. The HID is thinner and longer so the beam pattern is all over the place. You end up with LESS light where it should be! It shows what idiots they really are...

some cops wont care about having a kit above 8000k. but just to be sure i would just get the 8k. plus they look good. althoughh........ blue and purple are the shit. i just dont wana have the risk of pigs pulling me over

Beam me up Scotty... warp factor 9 please! lol

@MudLite26 8000k is white/blue 12000k is straight blue, i talked to a police officer once and he said 4300 to 8000k is ok. what they hate seeing is blue purple and pink it messes with peoples vision

@rsxtypes0033 why is that? they arent as bright.
-
@dbonanno I must agree, I got 5000K and its pure awesome!
-
anything above 8000k is illegal on headlight or fog lights those of you who have never been stopped by the police consider yourself "lucky".
-
ever get any issues with cops?
You obviously know nothing about lights.
4300K-5000K are the best for putting out lumens, or usable light. Anything over 6000K is crap and cuts down how much of the road you can actually see at night.
