Succession politics at Mau fundraiser

It was meant to be a fundraiser in aid of the people moved out of the Mau forest but it ended up being a political statement. It was a night that witnessed a re-union of sorts as deputy prime minister Uhuru Kenyatta walked to the warm embrace of a section of rift valley leaders that backed his attempt for the presidency through the former ruling party Kanu way back in 2002. Prime minister Raila Odinga came under a barrage of attacks at an event that displayed hints of the mooted ethnic alliance referred to as KKK. And as ntvs Brenda Mulinya reports, talk of conservation of the Mau took a backseat except for a timely reminder somewhere in the fiery speeches.

Can anybody believe that all those hundreds of hypocrites raised a mere 5 million?? What can 5 million shillings do to help over 5,000 families? give each family 500 shillings when the other 500 is stolen by middlemen, councillors, and logistics?? This is the greatest hypocrisy worse than those in Jesus' days. What meaning does it make when Uhuru insists that those occupying Mau must leave mau? This is the government stand on Mau. Why are they then echoing the PM? Are these minds sane in any way? Are these people full with easy money from government deals like Passat? We people from Central wont allow anybody to lead us. The kales now will give us support but they wont taste leadership, be warned.
