As an American, who barely missed Nam, I always begin any conversation about the Vietnamese "incident" with the question, "What did Vietnam ever do to the U.S.? Most conversations usually end right there. For those of you that don't know the answer I can give it to you in one word: Nothing. End of conversation.........

It's called "micro management" people. We should not have followed the French into Vietnam but since we did, we should have fought the war intelligently. The US military is highly adaptable and can defeat any adversary when allowed to. The war would have been won before 1970 had it not been for the DC politicians sticking their noses into the war. My hats off to all the men and women who fought as well as they did under these conditions in Vietnam.
