Sims 3 is one of the most famous games. Unfortunately, the game is facing extreme drawbacks such as crashing and freezing issues. Sims 3 keeps crashing is one such problem. We will move to its solutions.

These are the solutions worked for many users:

1. Disable your Antivirus Temporarily
2. Clean Registry Junk
3. Clear EADM Cache and Re-Download the Setup
4. Improve the Graphics Acceleration by Upgrading Drivers

Disable your Antivirus Temporarily

Your antivirus program may be the source of Sims 3 crashing issue. While playing the game, it should be disabled. Right click the system tray icon of your antivirus software and click Disable option.

Clean Registry Junk

Sims 3 keeps crashing due to the Windows registry filled with junk and obsolete entries. You have to make sure that registry is in normal state so as to fix this issue.

Download a System Utilities software that includes Registry Cleaner feature.

Clear EADM Cache and Re-Download the Setup

It was found that using EA Download Manager, a paused-resumed download of Sims 3 game shows cyclic redundancy check error when you play the game. Sims 3 keeps crashing simply because the downloaded setup files were not complete or corrupted and thus the game is not properly installed.

1. Click Start | Control Panel.
2. Click Programs | Uninstall a Program.
3. Select Sims 3 from the list of installed programs, and click Uninstall button.
4. Follow the wizard.
5. Download a fresh setup of Sims 3 again. Kindly do not pause it while downloading, so as to avoid future crashes and cyclic redundancy check error.
6. Install and run the game.

Improve the Graphics Acceleration by Upgrading Drivers

The performance of Sims 3 is based on your graphics performance by a great extent. Sims 3 keeps crashing because the installed graphics driver is out-of-date. You have to download and install its latest version. Visit the website of your graphics card manufacturer.

Clean the System

While you are playing Sims 3 game, adequate disk space must be free. In your case, the junk and temporary files may have eaten the free disk space. That is why; Sims 3 keeps crashing.
You have to clean the system and throw out the junk and temporary files. Download a good System Utilities software that includes System Cleaner feature.

Disable DLA Technology

Sims 3 interferes with DRM installed on your computer. That is why; Sims 3 keeps crashing problem is experienced with some computers.

Do below steps:

1. Open My Computer.
2. Right click the DVD ROM Drive Icon.
3. Select Properties.
4. For Toshiba laptops with MATSHTA DVD-RAM UJ-841S DVD drive, you may see DLA tab in the Properties dialog. Click it.
5. Disable the DLA Technology from there.
6. Click OK.
