    did you forget about the 17-40mm L lens?

    that's why you get a super wide angle lens like the 18-55mm or tokina 10-22mm. it's really not that hard to get good wide angles with crop sensors.

    Yes that 1.6x crop factor really helps but you loose the all important wide angle in zoom lenses.

    and the purpose of general zoom is lost.

  • so isnt that good if your into sports photography?

  • 7D is an amazing camera but the EF-S lenses are not good enough. and all the L lenses are made for full frame bodies, so the wide-angle in a general purpose zoom is totally lost
