  • Fucking BRILLIANT advert.

It's shit like this that's the reason the corps always exceeds recruiting quota. Army'll take anyone. The marines? They only accept you if you're the best.

  • fuck I mailed an application and am now going to look like a stupid

  • yeah !

  • THANK YOU MARINES .

  • @brandonch25 ha, yea I'm pretty pumped. I have to go back again to take a test that is required for my top two job picks: Intel and Linguist.

  • @dmackortega im glad to hear you made it in

  • @brandonch25 I have made it through now. I'm leaving for BMT Oct. 17th. I went through two DQ's and waivers. One for trying cutting (once) about 5 years ago. (Thought it was stupid especially because of the small scar it left) If you ask me now I'd say you gotta be a pretty weak person to continue that. One of the visits was having a psych evaluation. The second was a technically a DQ but all I had to do was wait 6 months to make sure my lasik surgery went completely fine.

  • @dmackortega not being a dick but why have you been there five times and not made it through ? and yes asvab and height and weight are the only differences other than that the test are exactly the same... and every body says the army takes anybody lol if you dont pass your pt test at the end of bootcamp you get recycled once then kicked out so they still weed out the weak

  • @brandonch25 I've been to MEPS about 5 times. There are actually many ways that the processing is different. Each branch has a different height, weight and age requirement for enlisting, shipping and completing recruit training. Also, on the ASVAB, there are certain sections that are either held to a higher importance or ignored altogether depending on the branch of service. Of course that more greatly affects job selection.
