There's no intelligence test for dogs or pigs. Richard Dawkins proposed that dogs are smarter than pigs by the simple fact that they've managed to make man sympathetic for them. There's a double standard between dogs and pigs, one we slaughter carelessly, the other we take to the vet for a minor boo boo.

The owner hits the dog to make it do this, it's animal cruelty and should't be permitted.

How? Whats your reasoning? Wheres your source? Dogs can read humans far better than pigs can. They helped us hunt for thousands of years.
