now im sure in the days of steam they didnt have the internet lol

Wait, wasn't there a big controversy over the apple green on the flying Scotsman. From what i read the apple green was not BR green and should have been darker, so when the then owner repainted it he was not a popular man. Sorry if I am wrong but over here in Canada, we do not hear a lot of the British railways.

The grey undercoat makes the engine look more modern with the website name on the tender aswell

stunning

British steam engines are so... refined. I'm used to the American locos. We just chuck stuff wherever it seems like it should go, and hope for the best!

From a yank. God save the Queen and the Tornado!

Absolutely teriffic to seen Tornado run under her ovn steam. The grey livery looks stunning even though it is only temporary.

fantastic to see the engine running after so much planning great
Beautiful. Still think they look better with the lipped chimney but whatever the case it's wonderful! :)

I agree, I think she will stick with the lipped chimney (hopefully!)
Also the BR apple green will make a nice change from engine after engine in black or brunswick.

Hi, as far as I can gather she will first be painted in BR apple green, and will undergo tests up to 90mph before she is given her mainline cert. Hope that helps.
