I'm not the one who called it Indian Electronica. In any case, the artists decide what they want to call it (and where they want to fit: mainstream, indie or whatever).
When I'm talking about surrealism, what I'm really talking about is surrealism. Of course, you can choose to decipher it as whatever you want.

Hey Qasim, sharat here. im in toronto man. call me when u can. ive sent u a mail too. pls check. gr8 stuff!! Cheerz!!!!

Belly dancing entered India well before electronica did.
Anyway, the point is that you can't draw lines on what to put on display in hybrid art of any kind. It all adds to the surrealism.

What is India supposed to be anyway? Brown woman belly dancing? Would that be "Indian" enough?
You might be right about not drawing lines in a 'hybrid art form.' But then if you are calling Indian Electronica a hybrid, then it ought not to be called that at all, just something like 'World Electronica.' Infact, even that is too specific because there's no real distinction between this and supposedly 'mainstream' electronica except that it features more 'exotic' sampling.
When you're talking about 'surrealism' what you're really talking about is commercial-orientalism.
