夕張に捧げる新たな「歌」が生まれました。

音楽プロデューサーのチープ広石と女性シンガーJUNCO（ジュンコ）による2人のユ ニット、JUNCO & CHEEPが、夕張を訪れ た際の想いを込めて1つの楽曲を共作しました。

タイトルは「名画座」。

今日では映画のある街として知られる夕張市と人生の苦難を重ね合わせたこの楽曲は、当 地でロケーション撮影を敢行した映像ととも に、夕張への新たな応援歌として北海道から発信してゆきます。

Yubari Fantastic International Film Festival 2009 Promotion Video featuring an original Yubari theme song 名画座　"MEIGA-ZA" (Classic Film Theater) The lyrics and music were written and composed by musician Cheep Hiroishi and sung with JUNCO. "Same Old Story: A Trip Back 20 Years" the documentary film about Cheep Hiroishi's life as a musican over a 20 year span will be showing at the film festival.

Same Old Story won Best International Music Documentary at the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival in 2008.
