  • @CapitanFiro No. MRAP is a great compared to the HMMWV and BMR.

  • Israiles APCs are better because they dont need as much fuel to get to their enemys. Israiles APCs could not endure the distance needed in a normal war because they are basicly an MBT with no turret and instead a passanger compartment.

  • Search and destroy tanks would need a load of Mraps to follow them to refuel it and maintain it. Heavy tanks have thin armour on the bottom insurgents would just IED the fuel and mechanics vehicles so the tanks run out of fuel or breakdown.

  • ya those are like heavy humvees

  • really? SPAIN has bought mrap to use them in afghanistan after our bmr were jumping too often over the airs : ' ( ...Is it an bad vehicle? ( sorry my english man )

  • I know for a fact that the US bought a few mine protected vehicles from South Africa (Mambas i think) in the mid nineties for trials but i think they still thought they would be fighting Russians. I think with the Cougar they have missed the point of these vehicles that is the compromise between mobility and protection. I can see the benefits of the Cougar in urban warfare or as a spearhead convoy vehicle , i find it interesting the US takes a simple concept and pumps it full of steroid.

  • CHUCK! I met you at carolina baptist church this past summer! how the heck are you doing?!

  • I have worked on these truck over seas and they all have there ups and down seen a lot ridin in a lot on convoys and i would take the couger that is for sure i dont like war but it is life it is all ways goin to be here i just here to ya'll boys over there safer thats 335th i am with ya'll all the time

  • 10 gallons to start a tank? I don't believe it's that much, bud... You got a source?

  • top speed of 109 mph, and itt weighs 38,101 kg
