I am really fascinated in the right Hand picking he does, he keeps the hand like in slap/pluck position. Is he picking with his fingernails to get this tone? or has he just learned to keep his right hand this way?
i'd like to know if you have different opportunities holding your hand like this

Thank you for posting this video this is amazing. Until now I had never heard of Darin Shaffer I plan on buying a loop pedal now and trying to learn some of his work. Is there a video or a cd that I could buy so I could listen to him more in depth?

You can find his music available on iTunes.
Also, the other videos on youtube have a camera on his foot that operates the echoplex, so you can see his technique a little better.
