Where are the Parents when things like this Go Down?!

The town I live in is no longer the 'sleepy little town' it may have once been. Now there are kids stabbing other kids, fights breaking out everywhere and people don't know who to blame! It's mainly kids and teenagers doing the fighting so I have one question...Where Are The Parents?!

Shouldn't they be watching the kids, keeping closer tabs on them? Instead they're out partying. Sure some of them work late, and that can be excused but in the neighborhood I live in, I have seen parents dumping kids on their neighbors just so they can go party!

Then the people who are asked to watch the kids don't do a very good job and lets the kid get away with murder. There was a teenager who was stabbed here a few nights ago and a fifteen year old kid was the one who stabbed him!

So instead of blaming the parents, people in my town are starting to blame the mayor for having the police officers doing other work like crosswalk duty and other things and the police officers can't do their usual patrols.

But really, the people they should be blaming are the parents! Back when I was their age, my parents ALWAYS knew where I was and that was either at a friends house, studying after school, staying the night at a friends house, doing extra curriculars, or at home!

The parents really should be the ones at fault and keep closer tabs on their kids instead of letting them run all willy nilly. Have them check in from time to time using a cell phone, friend's phone or even a pay phone!
