People believe based largely on the geographical location of their births. If born in India, one is a Hindu, if born in Saudi Arabia, one is a Muslim, if born in Utah, one is a Mormon, if born in Italy, one is a Catholic, if born in Alabama, one is a Protestant, if born in Tibet, one is a Buddhist. If you believe that your religion is the one true one, is it possible you believe that you are saved by where you are born and that geography is the most important thing in this life?

When we receive darshan of Sri Krsna, we know we are making progress.

Chanting is clean, free, full of trancendental emotions. No harm will ever come from signing Gods Names. No loss on this path.

There is a difference between chanting the sylables & chanting Hare Krsna LIKE a gun shooting blanks VS real bullets. So if someone tells you, it's nonsense, you know they are still at the blank platform, like a seed that has not yet sprouted.

Pure Devotee deputises us, giving real bullets.

Hey it's not about what "People believe.." imagine giving up religion too... don't get tangled up in false ego about this or that. Try Surrender and LOVE and chant with sincerity! Simply with love and devotion the Lord will except what you have to offer.

No doubt ! Kristina is singing very nicely Hare Krishna but the great acharyas and spiritual masters from the vaisnava sampradaya such as Bhaktivinoda Thakura, Srila Prabhupada and others are warning us not to hear Hare Krishna from the lips of a non-devotee (even though it sounds very nice) because "milk touched by the lips of a serpent causes poisonous effects". Means to say that by hearing it from a "yogini" you won't ripe the real fruit of chanting : pure love for Lord Krishna.

@sal8504 You mistake me and I think you may misunderstand in general. Krishna, Jehovah, Ohm, God, whatever name you call HIm by, they are all the same, there is only ONE Lord. What name you call Him by, or HOW you praise Him does not matter, the fact that you DO is the point. Hare Krishna is a beautiful prayer/mantra, and I am sure that my Lord Jesus would be happy to hear me singing it, because at the very least it shows I am not a bigot.

Was reading a post about how they feel that chanting this Hare Krsna Maha Mantra is boring. One must understand that this is a spiritual sound vibration, not a material, or mundane, sound vibration. Yes, mundane sound vibrations do get boring, as they cater only to the physical body (ears). The spiritual sound vibration caters to the soul, and if one puts their heart into it, and truly listens, the sweeter the sound becomes.
