Hope I clear some things up for those of you wondering about caliber sizes and what they call stopping power. This video is for newer shooters or those just wanting some info. I was confused by this when I first got into guns and alot of videos talk about stopping power, but don't bring the definition down to a beginners level

  • I've been studying this kind of stuff since the early 90's. Read a bunch of books, military and police training. I've never heard the boat wake analogy. But I like it. Great video.

  • @JBG762 Its the only way I could describe energy transfer in soft tissue. The way I wanted it to come across was the fact that its not always what the bullet touches...its the energy that it transfers. I'm no expert but I hope that its a close explanation

  • You called it for beginners??

No way...best video on stoppinging power ever!

Bin thinking about this shit for a long time..you tell it good!

    Thank you.

  • @1joshjosh1 Thank you, glad it could help

  • cool video!

But, I have a small boat and when I go fast I make a really small wake because the hull lifts out of the water. LOL

  • @Ls7colorado well then you need to get a bigger boat ;-)

  • @XGCScrappy thank you for the reply i have since moved up to a 9mm a sig p290 as of a month ago

  • @tubevideoguy762 I wouldn't want to get shot by a 380. If you're comfortable with it, carry on.

  • it's not about the head shot? tell that the the zombie hunters

  • I like the boat wake analogy

  • there should be a youtube law to shortin' your videos to like two min.......yawn....yawn...

  • Too bad .380 doesn't have the velocity to produce the hydrostatic shock required to incapacitate like a larger round.
