The U-2 Dragonlady is a reconnaissance aircraft that takes pictures of the earth while flying twice as high as your typical commercial airliner. Air Force Sergeant Brent Skeen found out that the pilots of the U-2 face many challenges, and rely on Airmen on the ground in two important ways.

  • What a work horse. They used to fly over the south, Mississippi and south Carolina all the time(1990's). Think they flew out of meridian, ms.

  • thatd be cool to be the camaro guy

  • @HawkKI4HEE haha nope he is leaving them behind the wood shed now lol haha he's now major oscar..

  • good times as a blackcat... 2007-2008

  • The "Black Cat" graph was designed by Chinese Air Force 35th squadron that works under USA and Taiwan goverment corporation in 1960's for spy actions.

  • High resolution images, just to remain on the safe side!

  • U-2s are cool. I'm just surprised that the USAF would keep around an aircraft that is so labor intensive, when it comes to weight, balance, and pogo issues.

  • I flew CH-47's at Camp Humphrey's and was in the 271st Avn Co (Innkeepers). Once, a U-2 made an emergency landing at Camp Humphrey's. The Inkeepers CH-47's were pulled from the hanger so the U-2 could be kept secure until it could be repaired and flown back to Osan.

  • This was my last aircraft I worked on in my 20 year military career. I was at Beale AFB CA. 99th RS 1997-1999 It brought back a lot of memories. I was E&E but spent lots of time in the POGO truck at PSAB and Istres Airbase.
