This video shows the puzzles at the front gate and in the mathematics hallway. The only puzzles in this region that change each time you play are the melody outside the castle and the initial ordering of the mosaic tiles.

Notice the nice symmetry in the magic square puzzle. :)

This page in the manual gives the copy protection codes, explaining the relation between the clues from the puzzles to the door at the back of the hallway:

While these videos can be used as a guide to walk you through many of the puzzles, I encourage you to first try to solve them yourself. Unlike its sequel Island of Dr. Brain, most of the puzzles in this game have only one of each puzzle type. For example, the word search puzzle in this game is always the same, but in Island, the computer generates a new puzzle each time.

  • I don't get it... What's with this little code box? So you get football, but how do you know the symbols?

  • Copy protection. It's explained in the description.

  • I don't get how you got the final code. The three code words were: football, jacks, and bowling. Then you entered Earth Mars Uranus, Jupiter Mars Uranus, and finally Venus Venus Pluto. How did you arrive at this conclusion?

  • Just updated the video info for you. :)

  • Please do The Lost Mind of Dr. Brain i beseech you.

  • Well, I have the game. The question is whether it will run in DOSBox, or if I at least have some other viable method for recording it.

If I figure out a way, I'll get back to you.
