when you download, you can get a zipped patch. Unzip the patch, you can get some files.

@cprime123 ****it absolutely works fantastically on the 3DS ***** is it doesn't play 3DS roms if there are any yet, but it will play probably all of the DS roms. also homebrew apps and skinnability too

@sanddagger36 I got this exact one in the mail and it absolutely works fantastically, I couldn't be happier with it. I suck bawls at video games but I still like to play them, and the wood r4 kernel has build in hacks (you need to go to the properties and make global cheats "on" and then select individual cheats just press Y when you've got your game highlighted and then tap "cheats" and it gives a plethera of cheats for each game!
Not to mention Rom capabilities Gotta love retro mario!

1. Both R4i Gold and R4i SDHC 3D are good. But more people like R4i SDHC 3D.
2. We ship to all over the world, including UK. Usually 15 days by Hongkong airmail, 4 days by DHL and 14 days by EMS.
3. R4 card will never brick Nintendo console, thousands of players are useing it, never hear of brick.
4. Currently, both r4i gold and r4i sdhc can only run DSi games, they can run 3DS games.

Thousands of 3DS players are useing the r4 3ds card, I never heard the brick on 3DS console. It is impossible.

If the card was made before August 3rd, you need to upgrade the card with a DS or DSi. So it can work on 3DS V2.1.0-4 version. The upgrade method can be found in: r4town.com/news/60/How-to-Upgrade-R4i-Gold-card.html . If the card was made after August 3rd, it can straightly work on 3DS V2.1.0-4, no need any upgrade.

Of couse, this card work on Nintendo 3DS V2.1.0-4U and V2.1.0-4E straightly, no need any upgrade. We just use a DSi showing how to install the kernel.
