After I made this video, I thought of a faster way to do the same bind off. Instead of going through the third stitch knit-wise, then the second stitch as if you were purling through the back loop, do this. Use the embroidery needle as if you were knitting 2 together, then slip the first stitch off the needle and repeat. After doing that, I thought of a way to make it match the cast on edge even better. Go through the third stitch knit-wise then instead of dropping that first stitch off the needle, go through that one as if to purl through the back loop THEN drop it off the needle. Both of these techniques are an alternative to the sewn bind off which I didn't like the look of.
This sounds like a great bind-off. Hopefully you'll redo the video so your viewers can actually see what you're doing.

Me too can't actually see what you are doing here in your video. So far I do like the Elisabeth Zimmerman's Sewn Bind Off. That is very nice and something I will try on my next cowl or scarf. I think I will knit your Seed Stitch Cowl. That is perfect and as you mentioned it is light . Thank you for sharing with us.

This method is too complicated, and the video is not completely visible. It is so simple to just bind off each stitch either in a purl stitch or a knit stitch, matching the bind off stitch to the stitch being bound off.
