Ted Raimi singing I've Got A World That Swings

This is from the cabaret at the 2008 Burbank CA Xena convention. You're not really suposed to film video in there but I noticed I was not the only one doing it.

He's so funny mixing his drink all James Bond like. Then battling the feedback of the mic cracked me up!

I was the one dressed as Callisto for the whole weekend in case you're wondering.

Please don't comment on the quality of the video. It was taken with my digital camera.

The introduction was too long for me; the singing does not start until about 1:11. I remember this from early 1960s. (I thought that I heard, back then, "racing to the moon" instead of "Cape Canaveral". So this was before the assassination of President Kennedy. The cape was consequently named Cape Kennedy, but later changed back to Canaveral, with Kennedy name remaining at the space center.

This guy has this tune down! He deals with the mocrophone feedback perfectly, then gets back into the groove. The audience obviously loves him. This is a cool, swinging cat who, in my book, is up there with Mel Torme and Jerry Lewis!

I'd only ever heard him sing the Joxer the Mighty song, so this was a fantastic new auditory experience for me! And the way he mixed that drink in the beginning was at once adorable and hilarious!
