The models smiled in those days! Why don't they smile now?

Who doesn't enjoy an oversized muff?

Good grief! I remember the telecast! And this is REALLY had women dressed and looked then! You dressed up to go downtown, you dressed up to go to the movies, you dressed up to go out dining, you dressed up for church, you dressed up for partyand you always dressed up to fly! If you were a struggling wife on a farm in the MIdwest you dressed up for church. The world was segregated then, but believe me, black ladies--rich or poor-- led the fashion parade! We have photos to prove it!

Marvelous

No wonder men behaved like gentlemen back then. Look at the elegance of these ladies... wow!

The bizarre 1950's game show QUEEN FOR A DAY usually had a "fashion show" segment in the middle of the broadcast.
Then, at the end of the show, the winner would be givenas part of their prize the gowns the models had worn.
The contestant was usually an overweight middle aged matron and the dresses were sized for the gamine Hollywood models.
This video segment is from the Christmas week Broadcast of QUEEN FOR A DAY.
The announcer is Jeanne Cagney, James Cagney's sister.

The announcer's voice sounds like Barbara Bel Geddes.

"Oh yes, ah ha, I see, it's gorgeous, really it is. But remember it's only a dream" haha

pride.I would be honored to become the new woman and carry femininity into the future, preserved like fine lace for future generations. In fact, I have made that my foremost charge in life! Oh, I am indeed a male to female transsexual and I can hardly wait until the last semblance of anything even slightly male I am eternally and irreversibly stripped and ridden thereof! Let me please be the one to crush my any remaining manhood beneath my high heels. I AM woman, feminine, female and proud!

More and more I feel truly appreciated by the owner and employees of stores, casinos and everywhere and I love it. If women/girls want to discard their femininity for unisex or male-esque attire, Baby it is their loss and my (and others') gain! I am tickled and overjoyed to inherit the grand and glorious torch of fabulous femininity! My extreme pleasure! I shall carry a purse, wear a skirt and hose, smart yet female shoes and invest ample time in my hair and makeup and will do so with utmost
The women were better looking in those days, more class, more style and I bet they got more respect than women get today too.
