I am starting my drive to Carson City ,Nevada from Lincoln ,New Mexico.
This is the first long drive for the Spider (1000 miles ), since the rebuild.
The car had no problems on the trip . I had a great time driving the car even though it was winter. The heater works fine and a Parka kept me warm.
I would like to thank everyone that was involved in the rebuild of the Fiat.

  • Hi!

I have identical Fiat Spider 2000 year 1979 vin number 124 CS20150926 color white in Italy. I love this car and I love the american roads.

  • @enzom124

Well we are kindred spirits. glad you watched, the camera is a little wobbly. This is in New Mexico . I drove the car to Nevada which is 1,300 miles. After the rebuild.

I lost the video of the car going over the Hoover dam outside of Las Vegas Nevada.

I would love to drive on the Italian roads what a dream that would be.

  • I drive my 124 every day, winter & summer. 30 mpg, uses no oil at 180,000 miles.

  • @gofiat1

Mine gets really gas mpg to. It does smoke a bit . Kinda of disappointing since the work that I had done to her.

  • @gofiat1 Hi great car I have the same. Love it. Still in all original condition. The paint job on it has a blue and white strip going along the bottom side doors saying sport:. I havent seen this paint job else where. What do you think? I dont get 30 mpg for sure maybe 19 in the city. cheers

  • I have a 1979\ Spider too. I had it for over thirty years now, has over 150,000 miles (maybe more, the odometer broke at one point)

I still drive it every week
