Jon Tenuta wasnt on the defensive Wednesday, but Notre Dames defensive coordinator did defend the Irish defense and shed some light on how this group can improve this weekend. Tenuta believes his system isnt complicated and that once the Irish play with confidence its benefits will show. He even lightened the mood when asked about Purdue tailback Ralph Bolden.
ND's defense has looked completely disorganized before the snap. How many plays have started with our LB's looking at the sideline and frantic hand waving by DB's? It is no surprise that they give up as much yardage and points as they do. Either the kids aren't prepared or the schemes are too complex. I have a hard time thinking the latter since Ga Tech ran this defense very well a few years ago. Tenuta needs to make himself accountable for preparing the team for the weekend.

At first, Tenuta's routine was kind of cute and funny. Now, he just looks like a douchebag. Especially not answering Tim's question saying that they had already spoken to Weis and so whatever Weis said is what they talked about.
