I also saw this just the other day. Xcaret was amazing, and this game was one of my favorite aspects of the trip to Mexico. At the game I attended, each team was able to get the ball through the hoop once. Apparently, as I learned, games could take up to 3 days until someone finally got a ball through!

thanks for the post... very interesting to see this played. I was always fascinated by Meso-American culture and the ballgame. Can you explain the end of this ceremony to me please? I kind of get some of the rules of play but not all. would love to go and watch this in person.
