DBRHP Part 6: I've Nothing to Wear!

Here I talk about how gear was bad pre-TBC, and also about how Ellia and Caydiem shafted us with communication issues back before patch 1.9. I have a slightly different guess at what was going on, but if the common theory (i.e. that Ellia and Caydiem are the same person) is true, then my guess isn't exactly false. You'll see what I mean.

This cut of part 6 has a couple factual inaccuracies corrected. First off, Ellia wasn't an undead mage; she was a night elf hunter. The Ellia I had on the inaccurate cut was the only Ellia whose posts I was able to find on the forums, and she apparently happened to have the same name as the forum troll from patch 1.9. Second, I didn't quite get the proper stats in tanking gear, and I corrected that in this cut.

Naw; they're going to pretend like these vids don't exist---maybe they'll say something about them a few months from now if the consensus on the paladin forums is that they've fixed us, but right now, they're probably going to avoid these vids like the plague. Oh, they're watching them, I'll wager. But to speak about them in the forums would inevitably mean confrontation, and they like to avoid confrontation.

Omg dont let blizz know your char name!!! I posted on the forums that blacksmithing needed to have some "Pally friendly" armor. The next day i got slapped with a "Exploit the economy ban" QQ... (this was before 1.9). Blizz needs to wake up and hopefully make an effort to communicate.

I figure if they were going to ban me, they'd have done it by now. Once I get into parts 10 and 11, there will be some strong positive stuff about Blizzard (some), and that might coax them into posting blue comments. I hope.

I may well be speaking for more than just paladins in the end. But if I can get Blizzard to at least add some communication, I'll have succeeded. Paladins have the least communication of all the classes right now.

i did find a cloak of holywrath it was a level 10 item and only provided +1 holy spell damage but it's still there

The problem was the sampe person was doing that on shaman forums. So you know. 2.24 For shaman this was also the same. We needed nature damage for windfury to deal more damage in PvP Which is where we were suffering. That gear was only avalible in leather or cloth.

4:04 yeah shaman were the same way. To get the gear we needed we had to raid for months. This seperated all shaman. Making only one set of shaman PvP the other Raiding. The raiding shaman got great gear the others didnt.

btw. They once had something called "reduce targets resistance by 10" on rings and such.. if you asked a GM what "-10" restistance was compared to Spelldamage +? then they would not answer, and said "you have to find out by yourself, that is a technical question" I was just sitting ^^ DOH! how the hell shall I find out if it was the -10 that made my frostball hit 833 and not 825 (growth on 8) or was it just luck? when the gab between min- and maximum damage was around 70.

There are neither any resistance to Holy damage? (so, unfair to give you more if we can't resist it?) only way to get it Pre-tbc was that +5 on cloak.. :(

I would Like to point out something dealing with your arguement "of holy wrath"

holy damage has 0 resistances it is not subjected to armor or resistance, making it a very powerful tool in PvP which is my reasoning behind not having the gear which you speak of.

When Caydiem left, Ellia did as well. Caydiem, was Ellia. It was pretty obvious to most of us at the time. She was also a Druid. Eyonix a Shaman. Paladins had alot to fight back then when it came to comminication to the Developers. The CM's distorted the forums alot. I feel bad, because to be honest, people blamed Fangtooth when in my opinion, it wasn't his fault at all.
