This game was February 12, 1985, when I was 11 days old!
I love watching these old clips of Mario - it still gives me chills watching him.

That was back when he hardly knew any English, and he didn't want to be in the position of saying something to the press that was incorrect, so he didn't speak much publicly back then. :)

About his team "I think we have a shot at the playoffs if we work real hard." Penguins finished with 53 pts. and missed the playoffs by 9 pts. in their division. Not terribly far back, but also 2nd worst record in the league to Toronto (whose only rep in this game pathetically enough was Miroslav Frycer!!!).

i love when the guy says "you havea drivers lisence right?" and mario goes "hehe yah". he was so cute. and he acted like the king out there when he was 19. tank.
