  • excellent video. thank you. What website is best for ordering a new screen? And what information do I need? I have an Asus EEE PC 1005 HAB. Is that enough for ordering a new screen or do I need to remove the screen and get numbers from the back?

  • @indigochild444 yes you have to look for the numbers on the back to get the right one. i order at ebay. good luck :)

  • What kind of screwdriver do u need? Please

    reply

  • @alexlabc watch the video @ 0:40 .... if u do not know a "Philips Screwdriver" it is simply shaped like a "+" ... good luck

  • I'm trying to to replace the display of my eee 1005pe. think this manual should work. but I dispaire on taking the bezel off.

what is the trick to clip it off the hinge? I lifted all srews and then the upper part of the bezel, but can't get it off the hinge.

    have you any clue?

  • thanks sir

  • thanks. super easy, except for those blasted clips! i replaced my husband's 1005peb with the exact same model screen (different 1005's are probably only for certain countries/regions).

but what can i use to get those rubbery screw covers to stick back on?

and to others, it's a #0 phillips screwdriver.

  • Thanks for the helpful video.

When replaceing the surround i found it much easier to remove the hinge covers first and clip back afterwards. Don't force them, there are three very small lugs on the bottom edge, two clipping upwards and one outwards you have to twist and pull, gently, once you have one off you'll see how it goes. Make sure the video cable sits in the lug, so it goes down against the screen or it can get trapped and cause screen to black out when moving the lid.

    Nice one BaumDP

  • dude thanx 4 this wasy easy, but damn that hinge was a mutha ****** lol

  • THANKS DUDE "GREAT JOB" its funny how yousaid it
