  • Just ordered some of this kale online and I am going to find a place for it in my garden

  • OK this looks similar to the pictures of Asturian Tree Cabbage. Is it the same thing or closely related.

  • @D0MJSY Seems like alot of trouble when I could just cut a branch off a tree for a walking stick.

  • I come from Jersey, In the Channel Islands, and am told by elderly relatives that you must pick off the lower leaves as fodder for your cattle, and wait two years before it reaches 10 feet. Then you must harvest the stalk and leave it a few years to dry before you sand it down and varnish it. I believe that there may be a few growers of the crop left here, but do not know for certain. I am going to try to grow it next year, and I shall see what happens.

  • @okraw its wierd after commenting i noticed it on other vids? maybe my flash is playing up?

    thanks for the reply

  • works fine for me

  • yo there is no video? its just a white screen wtf?

  • Also know as Jersey Cabbage. (Myself and my wife grow and sell the sticks and seeds hear Jersey, Channel Islands) Our animals like the leaves, remember to pick the leaves off as they grow or they will not get much over 4 feet. Ours reach 6 to 10 feet high. Search Philip and Jacquelyn Jersey Sticks on google.

  • I've read about these varieties of kale but never seen them before, what an interesting addition to the garden - I'm going to look for some next season, thanks! - Anna

  • Yes, Cucumbers are in the melon family. There are more varieites of cucumbers than we realize. I grew about 10 different varities this year.
