I did this only because my battery wasn't charging. I bought 2 batteries and it still didnt work, so i went to check out what happened inside. Turned out one of the conductors going straight to the battery was off. So I soldered it the ghetto way with a lighter and it re-attached. So I get this fucker put back together, set it down (tested it, and my solder worked) and apperantly it came undone. FML.

@iTailsTheStunter You can get solder guns really cheep now adays, like check big lots or radio shack.

I have removed all the correct screws but now I am struggling to remove the bottom right part of the face plate where the power switch is located. I have the 1003 which isn't much different from this.
I am afraid I will break it.

@pilli10 Make sure that you removed all the screws than try prying the faceplate off

Not too hard if you just want to take off the face plate or what ever, but getting down inside it becomes complicated... Proceed with caution because of the ribbon cables can rip very easly.
