before anyone starts complaining about the concentration camps, I am not a fan of that part of the history of the Finnish army, but there's little something for you to chew: the first camps were founded for the adult men of the occupied areas, built to prevent them from starting and/or supporting the partisans who might/would rise to oppose the Finnish occupation, for some reason also women and children were moved to these camps, but in general they were nothing like Auschwitz or Dachau.

...and then we get to the point where the reporter starts talking about the start of the Continuation war, 'conveniently' forgetting to mention the fact that Soviet air force had bombed Finnish civilian targets for a week before the Finnish army crossed the border set in 1940, making it sound like that Finland started the war, sadly I am not surprised as this is a Russian reporter talking in a documentary produced for a network called "Russia Today", I have only one word to say; propaganda.

for those who don't know what Treaty of Tartu is, it was the treaty that ended the hostilities between Finland and Soviet Russia as well as set the borders between the two, until then the two were de facto at war with each other, while it may have been wrong for Finland to try to conquer Russian lands in 1918-1919, the Soviets were no better with their attempts to start another civil war in Finland.

"plans were drafted as early as 1919" this 'historian' is conveniently forgetting the fact that in 1919 Finland and Soviet Russia were still fighting what was effectively an extension of the Finnish Civil war, now know as "the kinship wars" during which the ultra-nationalist segment of the leadership of young Finnish army was seeking to annex the Eastern Carelia to Finland, the Finnish government never approved the actions of these commanders, also the Treaty of Tartu was not signed before 1920.

Oon katellu tätä kanavaa muutenkin(jostain syystä mun televisiosta näkee tän kanavan) nii on melkein jokainen juttu Suomesta tai Virosta kauheeta propagandaa!
Finland planned a war against Soviet Union? Hah! Sure there were nationalists who dreamed to join the areas of Finnish speaking tribes from Sweden, Norway and Russia into Finland.
But ths had nothing to do with the Finland's politics! The Soviet Union of 1939 was a superpower with mechanized army, and Finland was a dwarf with ill equipped army! Anyone thinking Finland wanted to atteack, is a nut cake! 1939 Finland wasn't even allied with Germany, it was Stalin who secretly alled with Hitler!
