The Houseboy (2007)

In his early twenties, Ricky (Nick May) is the third wheel in a relationship with two hotties in their thirties. While Ricky is supposedly out of hearing range, one lover promises the other "a new toy for Christmas" and then they're out the door for a Christmas vacation. A very hurt Ricky is left to take care of their apartment and menagerie of pets. With a vengeance, Ricky goes on a search for love using internet hookups and guys he meets on the street. Shockingly, he tells several of his "guests" that he's planning to commit suicide on Christmas. The tricks are mostly taken aback and respond uncomfortably with this stranger who has suddenly become quite intimate. Will his "lovers" come home to a nasty surprise, or will Ricky find the love he so needs over the holidays?

Nothing is wrong with romantic polygamy either... life is just a series of interactions amongst people and if three people want to be with one another they should be... and if it's not your prerogative then why preach against it, not being apart of a polygamous relationship should be enough.

This is so totallly not what being a houseboy is like...wow this is so g rated too. Most owners of houseboys are older, and alot of times single and yes you guessed it...straight. Rarely have I seen a gay cpl interested in a houseboy, and while it can be polymorphis loving relationship, by far most houseboys are in at least the sence, submissive to the owners. It is more of a bondage community thing then a gay community thing.

Been there,done it,contemplated it,broke my heart,lost my mind,wrote about it,threw the damn diaries away,GOT OVER IT and MOVED ON! Certainly on British tv gay men are usually not portrayed in a particularly positive light but most of us know that gay life aint all that miserable,lol! But then we'd no doubt gripe if gay life was portrayed as a 'bed of roses' too! At some point a 'happy balance' will be struck when gay life is displayed in the media! Maybe it's down to us!

..hmm....just wondering (nothing against this movie) but....is there a gay movie that isn't so depressing, but neither is it a complete LOL parody comedy either? I've seen and loved both kinds, but lately I kind of wish there was more just "sweet".
