"Computer dating" started in the 60's.

They used computers, but not home PCs. In computer dating, a client would go into an agency for a typically lengthy interview. Their responses would be entered into the agency data base and cross referenced for compatibility.

although the concept sounds simple on paper, this game is actually a combination of knowledge and luck. it is easy to see why this show lasted for 3 years on nbc; jim perry's sense of humor combined with a solid format. he deserved a daytime emmy for his quips!

Odd that there would be a question about computer dating services. Considering this episode may have been from sometime in the late 70s, despite some of the technological advances already made at the time, I wouldn't think there would be something like that. On the phone maybe, but the computer?
Higher than a three --- a TWO!
