@Suketa And also, you should listen to Dixie Chicks' album Landslide and Nirvana Unplugged in New York, which is that bands acoustic album. It's funny, but I wonder what a cross between Nirvana and Jars might have been like. Some argue there are Christian hints in that bands music, but it's difficult to say.
@Kris246zl Some of the songs by Voltaire, though not specifically in this hearth-like, baroque style, have a bit of similarity to this song. Look up the song Anastasia, and you might be pleased with it, though I should say the music of Voltaire, lyrically speaking, is diametrically opposed to the Christian attitude of Jars of Clay. And while they're very bluesgrassy, Nickel Creek might strike a chord for you. Sorry to respond to you three months later. :P
@doctorshifty83 yes.after all the album songs are played it's a long silence then it starts playing their rehearsal.I was confused too at 1st until one day I was really busy so I didnt take it out after it stopped and I'm like what the lol but it was the 1st tme I heard it all(the extra 27 mins.)
I found this band quite by chance. I am quite the atheist myself but i fell in love with this song, its quite a moving work of art, and I found the irony of the lyrics amusing.
27 minutes!?... the main part of the song is nearly 4 min. Unless you're referring to the part at the hidden track when they were rehearsing with the orchestra? That's what it sounded like to me when I got the CD.
@benskiesmart I've uploaded it - the whole song. check out my channel

@Suketa The Mirrormask soundtrack has a few songs that remind me of this. But I concur. If you find more like this, message me. :). :)

I love this song, and would like to find more music that's, specifically, like this. :)
