Unusually low-key Chuck in these three sketches. A snowstorm that's Head and Shoulders above the rest; A story from ol' Ranger Smith; The upwardly mobile meal. Chuck now has an official site! Visit www.chuckmccann.net
The name of the sad face, silent tramp clown character that Mr.McCann performs in pantomime on his tv shows on Ch.11 and Ch.5 in NYC was named"Wobbles".
I grew up on Chuck McCann and his shows, especially "Let's Have Fun" with the puppets Homer and Mildred. It took me years to find the name of the music he used in this "Sad Sack" pantomime. It was "Forgotten Dreams" by Leroy Anderson who I would study composition with some 10 years later! Chuck was a genius... and a truly nice guy I ultimately met in LA a few years back.
No ones commented in two years , Chuck McCann made a generation of kids happy, I was one of those kids , i watch these tapes now with a smile and a tear in my eye . Chuck seemed to be lost in the past with his skits ,as i am now watching his old shows.

I wonder if Mr.Candy ever saw this skit and if it
inspired him to do his fishing tv show skit on SCTV?
