[MD] Too Late - Hara & Minho

Kim Hyunjoong is a professional hitman, part of an elite criminal organization hired to assassinate powerful political figures. However, one day he disappears without a trace and is presumed dead.

When he is found murdered after a violent shootout, his younger sister Hara is told of the news and it enrages her, swearing revenge. She makes an agreement with Phillip, the commander of the organization, to track down Hyunjoong's killer, who they discover to be Choi Minho, another hitman and member of a rival gang working undercover. Hara purposely approaches Minho and forms a bond with him with the intention of luring him out to kill him, but Minho becomes suspicious of her despite developing feelings between them.

The plan is a success when Minho follows her into an ambush, but Phillip later discovers that Hara had not killed Minho and instead allowed him to escape. Phillip realizes the flaw in the plan; Hara had pitied Minho after unwittingly falling in love with him for real.

Meanwhile, Minho orchestrates a seize and holds Phillip at gunpoint with Hara beside him. Acknowledging this betrayal, Phillip brings up once again the reason Hyunjoong was killed was because of a failed mission, one that had been stopped directly by Minho. Hara is unsettled when the old feelings of bitterness and anger resurface, plaguing her with guilt and confusion.

As Minho draws his gun, Hara shoots and kills him first, avenging her brother's death with the ultimate sacrifice.

So this was meant to be a preview, and then a random trailer, but in the end I decided I should just lay it to rest and make a whole drama. XD

I've been wanting to make something like this for a long time, a kind of non-romance and full of action. Mainly because of the older actor.

I couldn't find what his name was (even from websites), but he was in the first episode of Urakara as Kara's manager and Athena so I just worked on from there. He was only in one episode of Athena (thank God...) so collecting all his dialogue was easier, and it ended up being so good I pulled an entire story out of it. You could call this an Athena crossover. XD

Initially I wanted Hyunjoong to be Hara's boyfriend, but I couldn't work in any romantic chemistry and in the end it seemed to suit more that she was mourning and vengeful for her oppa.

It took a while to decide a good title but I realized the song name fits with the theme of the story: Even though she loved Minho, killing her brother was just too unforgivable that she had to kill him instead of betraying her side, because it was much too late. I had been saving the song for some time now, I wanted to make a JongRi video with it but nothing seemed to fit, and I tried it with this and it seems to go really well with a dark storyline.

Oh, Hara's the only one in Kara AND Shinee to actually hold a gun. Twice. Minho was holding a remote and his HAND in the two intros for Hoot, so disappointed in you, man. But this turned out pretty well. I still haven't been sleeping well, last night I figured I'd whip something up (yes, insomnia is good sometimes).
