Jim Dandy was on the radio once , and he said "THE BEAT! THE BEAT ! THE BEAT ! Rock'n'Roll leads to Mental Retardation !"....His interviewers did'nt know WHERE he pulled that out of. I recognized "The Beat!" from an early anti - Rock'n'Roll sermon , which he referenced when I had the good fortune of seeing BOA RECENTLY (And they kill , even if you're only a casual fan . They 'll give you a SHOW.).
